Behind the Scenes ....
LEFT: Late-night rehearsals are common in the week before opening night. The stage manager (left picture) clarifies each cast member's responsibilities. RIGHT: Part of the training is learning about every aspect of production. Students design the lighting, sets, and costumes for the shows in which they perform. Above, students are constructing a set, which you see completed below.
Is There Anything More?
YES! Given the personalized nature of each actor's training, students are
encouraged to explore other areas of the theater which interest them. One
student has recently had a full-length play and a comic one-act titled "Where's
Shakespeare?" (above) produced at the theater. Students also have the
opportunity to direct plays, or to specialize in any area of particular
interest, such as make-up and set design. Indulge yourself!
